Avid manufactured, installed, commissioned and tested the generator control and synchronising systems for six CAT C175 enclosed diesel generator sets for Western Australia’s benchmark Wheatstone LNG project. With the gensets supplied by Energy Power Systems Australia and installed into enclosures by Aerison, Avid’s team worked closely with both EPSA and Aerison to install and test the equipment at Aerison’s facility.
The control panels utilised ComAp controllers for commonality with other systems at the facility, and each pair of generators was set to work and synchronised at full load prior to client acceptance. Avid’s scope also included installation of the power and lighting through each enclosure and the manufacture of additional integration panels for the site.
