Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Introducing AVID Group's Groundbreaking Fuel Cell-Powered LED Lighting Tower for Australia & NZ

AVID Group has launched our first generation renewable hydrogen fuel cell lighting tower for the Australian & NZ market.
The LED mobile tower is powered by Intelligent Energy’s (IE) fuel cell.
This portable LED lighting tower uses a chemical reaction to produce clean energy with water vapor as the ONLY by-product.
An Australian first, IE fuel cell’s low-energy LED light masts provide zero carbon lighting at the point of delivery.

Features Include:

  • ZERO CO2 Site Emissions
  • ZERO Noise Pollution – perfect for night work, in industrial areas, and enclosed spaces.
  • ZERO Particulate Pollution
  • ZERO hydrocarbon combustion
  • ZERO possibility for fuel contamination or spillage on site
  • Low-energy LED lighting
  • Fully autonomous run time between 40 to 140 hours depending on hydrogen tanks and storage availability on site
  • Automated with dusk to dawn auto switching

Intelligent Energy fuel cells selected for Avid EPG Group’s remote power products in Australia

Loughborough, UK 6 September – Intelligent Energy and Avid EPG Group (Avid), an Australian energy solutions company, announce they will now work together to commercialise and deploy zero emission fuel cell systems to the Australian market.

Avid has initially integrated Intelligent Energy’s 800 Series Fuel Cell Modules (FCMs) into four different stationary power applications. These products were showcased by Avid at the Renewable Hydrogen Energy Conference in Perth, hosted by the Government of Western Australia on 31 August.

Intelligent Energy’s FCMs are a clean alternative to diesel generators and are zero emission, operate quietly and offer lower life cycle costs and minimal maintenance when compared to traditional generators. This makes them an ideal solution for industries that are working to reduce their carbon footprint, improve the environment and local air quality for communities where they operate.

Further to the integration of the FCMs by Avid into off-grid power products for a range of applications, they will also be a point of contact for customers of Intelligent Energy’s products in Australia. The two companies have signed a MOU to this effect.
