PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Avid Group designed, built, and certified the custom St Ives Renewables 33kV Switchroom, representing a successfully completed milestone in its energy infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, safety, and sustainability. At the core of the project is a 33kV custom-built switchroom, measuring 35 (L) × 6 (W) × 6.6 (H) metres and weighing circa 93 tonnes.
The facility supports site-wide high-voltage distribution with critical systems, including a 415VAC main switchboard built to IEC/EN 61439 standards, offering 4A segregation, arc fault containment, and 25kA fault withstand for 1 second.
